About Us

EPC-EM Ltd was established in 2007 by Emily Cooke, a specialist in project controls with nearly two decades of industry experience. Initially operating as a single consultancy, EPC-EM has grown into a multidisciplinary business serving industries such as oil and gas, nuclear, renewable energy, civil construction, rail, pharmaceuticals, and data centres.

During the COVID-19 period, Emily brought in her brother Ethan, expanding the service capacity and triggering new client demands that stretched beyond the original scope of project controls. This growth naturally evolved into three defined service divisions:

  • EPC-EM – Project Management and Project Controls

  • EPC Site Services – Blue-collar and on-site technical staff (e.g., welding, installation, engineering support)

  • EPC-IT – Software development, data systems, and AI solutions tailored to engineering and project management

Meet The Leadership Team
Emily Cooke
Founder & Managing Director

Emily Cooke is the Founder and Managing Director of The EPC Group, a project-delivery-focused EPC business supporting major infrastructure, energy, and industrial programmes across the UK and internationally.

Emily entered the project-controls profession in 2007 through an apprenticeship pathway, developing her expertise from the ground up on live, complex engineering and construction projects. Working across sectors including power generation, infrastructure, construction, and industrial engineering, she built a strong reputation for combining technical controls expertise with a practical understanding of how major programmes are successfully executed in real project environments.

After years operating within large-scale delivery organisations, Emily recognised that successful projects require fully aligned capability across every phase — from early planning and commercial strategy through to systems, site execution, and completion. To address this, she founded EPC-EM and subsequently led its evolution into The EPC Group, bringing together EPC-EM, EPC-IT, and EPC Site Services into a unified structure designed to deliver a fully integrated EPC methodology across the entire project lifecycle.
